General Research Interests

 

Watershed processes & restoration ~ geology ~ sedimentation

 

  "Doug Smith is currently an Associate Professor at CSU Monterey Bay. He is part of an interdisciplinary science program (Science and Environmental Policy) with a focus on producing students who can use sound science to influence sound environmental policy. His teaching focus is on geology, river hydrology, physical watershed processes, and watershed restoration. Doug's research includes watershed topics and the geomorphology and modern dynamics of Monterey Canyon."
